Configure Ad Account

How to configure your ad account in SaleAds.ai

The Ad Account is where Meta invoices your ads. This step is mandatory in order to launch strategies.

In this section you configure or choose the Meta account where your campaigns will be billed.


What is an Ad Account?

The Ad Account is the container where:

  • Your campaigns are created and managed

  • Payment methods are configured

  • Advertising expenses are billed

  • Historical metrics are stored

Important: Each ad account has a configured currency that cannot be changed after creating it.

Choose carefully from the start; this limitation cannot be changed afterward.


Select Existing Ad Account

After selecting your Business Manager, you will see the available ad accounts.

View Available Accounts

The list shows for each account:

Field
Description

Name

Ad account name

ID

Unique identifier (act_XXXXXXXXX)

Currency

Billing currency (USD, COP, MXN, etc.)

Status

Active, Disabled, etc.

Choosing the Correct Account

  1. Identify the account you want to use

  2. Click to select it

  3. The account will be highlighted

Tip: Choose an account that has:

  • Active payment method

  • The currency you prefer for billing

  • Clean history (no restrictions)

You have the power to choose the correct account.

If you have many accounts:

  1. Use the field "Search Ad Accounts..."

  2. Type part of the name or ID

  3. The list will be filtered


Create a New Ad Account

If you don't have an ad account or want to create a new one, here you can find the step-by-step to do it.

Steps to Create

  1. Click on "Create New Ad Account"

  2. Complete the details:

Account Name

Identifier for you

"My Store - Ads"

Currency

Billing currency

USD, COP, MXN

Time Zone

For reports

America/Bogota

  1. Click on "Create Account"

  2. Wait for confirmation: "Ad account created successfully!"

Important about Currency:

  • Choose carefully, it cannot be changed afterward

  • Ad prices will be shown in this currency

  • Billing will be in this currency

Choose carefully because the currency cannot be changed later. You have full control of the configuration.

After Creating

The new account:

  • Is created within your Business Manager

  • Is selected automatically

  • You can start using it immediately

Note: You still must configure a payment method directly in Meta before you can launch ads. Go Prerequisites.


I Don't See Any Ad Account

Possible Cause 1: The Business Manager has no accounts

Message: No ad accounts were found for the selected Business Manager.

Solution:

  1. Click on "Create New Ad Account"

  2. SaleAds.ai will create an account in your Business Manager

  3. Set up the payment method in Meta Business Suite

Possible Cause 2: You don't have permissions on existing accounts

Solution:

  1. Contact the Business Manager administrator

  2. Request administrator access to the ad account

  3. Return to SaleAds.ai and refresh the page

Possible Cause 3: The accounts are disabled

Solution:

  1. Check the status of your ad accounts

  2. If they are disabled, follow Meta's instructions to reactivate them


Verify Payment Method

Before continuing, make sure the selected account has a payment method:

  1. Go to Payment settings

  2. Select the ad account

  3. Verify there is an active payment method

No payment method = You will not be able to launch ads

SaleAds.ai will create the strategy correctly, but Meta will not publish it if there is no way to charge.


Common Errors

"No ad accounts found"

Causes:

  • The Business Manager has no ad accounts

  • You do not have administrator permissions

Solution:

  • Create a new account using the button in SaleAds.ai

  • Or request access to an existing account

"Error creating the ad account"

Causes:

  • Account limit reached in the Business Manager

  • Restrictions on the Facebook account

  • Temporary Meta error

Solution:

  1. Try again in a few minutes

  2. Verify that your Facebook account has no restrictions

  3. Create the account manually in business.facebook.comarrow-up-right and come back to select it

The account shows "Disabled"

Cause: Meta has restricted the account due to policies.

Solution:

  1. You cannot use disabled accounts

  2. Create a new account or use another existing one

  3. Review Meta's policies to avoid future restrictions
