Solutions to errors when launching strategies

This guide covers the errors that can occur when trying to launch your strategy on Meta.

You can fix these problems quickly. Here are the steps.


Configuration Errors

"No business selected"

Cause: You do not have an active business on the platform.

Solution:

  1. Use the business selector in the sidebar

  2. Select or create a business

  3. Complete the Brief setup

If you miss this step, the strategy cannot be launched.


"Please select at least one location"

Cause: No audience location configured.

Solution:

  1. Go to "Set Up Your Business"

  2. Complete the audience location section

  3. Add at least one country, city, or region

  4. Return to the strategy

With at least one location, you can continue.


"No draft to launch"

Message: There is no draft to launch. Please reconfigure the strategy.

Cause: The strategy draft was not created correctly.

Solution:

  1. Return to the configuration step

  2. Upload the creatives again

  3. Generate the preview

  4. Try launching again


Meta Errors

"Error launching strategy"

Message: Error launching strategy. Please try again.

Possible causes:

  • Connection issue with Meta

  • Ad account with restrictions

  • Invalid payment method

  • Content not approved

Solution:

  1. Check your internet connection

  2. Check your account status in Meta Business Manager

  3. Confirm that you have an active payment method

  4. Try launching again

  5. If it persists, contact support

It's usually due to connection, account restrictions, or payments. Rule these out with these steps.


"Ad account restricted"

Cause: Meta has restricted your ad account.

Solution:

  1. Check your account notifications

  2. Follow Meta's instructions to resolve it

  3. When it's resolved, try launching again

This case is resolved directly on Meta.


"Invalid payment method"

Cause: There is no payment method or the existing one was declined.

Solution:

  1. Go to Meta Business Manager

  2. Enter Payment Settings

  3. Add or update your payment method

  4. Verify that the card has funds

  5. Try launching again


Errors During the Process

"Error saving copies"

Cause: Problem saving the edited texts.

Solution:

  1. Check your connection

  2. Click "Retry"

  3. If it fails, go back to the preview and save the copies manually


"Error preparing campaign"

Cause: Problem configuring the campaign structure.

Solution:

  1. Wait a few seconds

  2. Try again

  3. If it continues, check the configuration in Meta


"Error creating in Meta Ads Manager"

Cause: Communication problem with Meta.

Solution:

  1. Verify that Meta Ads Manager is working: adsmanager.facebook.comarrow-up-right

  2. Wait a few minutes

  3. Try launching again

  4. If the problem is on Meta's side, wait for it to be resolved


Launch Cancellation

"Launch canceled"

Message: Launch canceled

Cause: You canceled the process before completing it.

Note: This is not an error. Your strategy remains as a draft and you can launch it whenever you want.


"Error canceling the launch"

Cause: Problem trying to stop the process.

Solution:

  1. Wait for the process to finish or fail

  2. Check the status of the strategy afterward

  3. If it was left halfway, you may need to create a new one


After an Error

Check Status

After an error, check:

  1. Was the strategy created in Meta? (Check Ads Manager)

  2. Is the draft still available in SaleAds?

  3. Can you try launching again?

If the Strategy was Partially Created

If the campaign appears in Meta but incomplete:

  1. Delete it from Meta Ads Manager

  2. Return to SaleAds

  3. Launch again from the draft


Prevention

To avoid launch errors:

  • ✅ Check the connection with Meta before launching

  • ✅ Confirm that you have an active payment method

  • ✅ Check that there are no restrictions on your account

  • ✅ Ensure a stable internet connection

  • ✅ Complete all configuration before launching
