What you need to have ready before connecting Meta Ads

Before connecting your Meta Ads account with SaleAds.ai, make sure you have the following items configured. This preparation will save you time and prevent errors.

Important: This section describes actions you must perform outside of SaleAds.ai, directly on Meta's platforms.

In this section I explain what you need to have ready before connecting Meta.

Before continuing, confirm that you have:

You have the power to prepare everything before starting. I guide you step by step.


1. Facebook Account

You need a personal Facebook account to manage your advertising assets.

If you already have an account: Make sure you can log in correctly.

If you don't have an account:

  1. Click on "Create new account"

  2. Complete the registration with your email and personal information

  3. Verify your email


2. Facebook Page

The Facebook Page is your business's identity on the platform. Your ads will appear as posts from this page.

If you already have a page: Make sure you have the role of Administrator on the page.

If you don't have a page:

  1. Log in to Facebook

  2. Click the menu (☰) → Pages

  3. Click on "Create new page"

  4. Complete the details:

    • Page name (your business name)

    • Category (e.g., Store, Restaurant, Services)

    • Short description

  5. Add a profile and cover photo

  6. Click on "Create page"

Tip: Use your business's real name. This will be the identity users see in your ads.

You have the power to create the perfect identity for your business.


3. Business Manager

Business Manager is the central tool where you manage all your advertising assets: pages, ad accounts, pixels, etc.

If you already have a Business Manager: Go to business.facebook.comarrow-up-right and verify that you can access it.

If you don't have a Business Manager:

  1. Click on "Create account"

  2. Complete the details:

    • Company name

    • Your name

    • Company email

  3. Click on "Submit"

  4. Verify your email

Add your Page to Business Manager

If your Page exists but is not in Business Manager:

  1. In Business Manager, go to SettingsAccountsPages

  2. Click on "Add"

  3. Select "Add a Page"

  4. Search for your page and add it

4. Ad Account

The Ad Account is where your ads are billed. You need to have an active payment method.

If you already have an ad account: Verify that you have a valid payment method configured.

If you don't have an ad account:

Good news: I can create an ad account for you during the setup process. You only need to have your Business Manager ready.

If you prefer to create it manually:

  1. In Business Manager, go to SettingsAccountsAdvertising accounts

  2. Click on "Add""Create a new ad account"

  3. Complete:

    • Account name

    • Time zone

    • Currency (important: cannot be changed later)

  4. Add a payment method:

    • Credit/debit card

    • PayPal (in some countries)


5. Payment Method (Mandatory)

Without an active payment method, you won't be able to launch ads, even if I create everything correctly.

Add Payment Method

  1. In Business Manager, go to Payment settings

  2. Click on "Add payment method"

  3. Enter your card details

  4. Meta may make a small verification charge (it will be reversed)

Important: Make sure your card has sufficient funds and is enabled for international purchases.

You have full control of your payment method and budget.

Verify Everything Is Ready

Before continuing to SaleAds.ai, check:

  1. Go to SettingsAccounts

  2. Confirm that you see:

    • At least 1 Facebook Page

    • At least 1 Ad Account (or I will create it)

  3. If you have an Ad Account, verify that you have a payment method in Payment settings

You have the power to verify that everything is ready before starting.


Common Issues

chevron-rightI don't have access to my company's Business Managerhashtag

Contact your current Business Manager admin and ask them to add you as an admin. In Business Manager → Settings → People → Add People.

chevron-rightMy Page is in another Business Managerhashtag

A page can only be in one Business Manager at a time. Options:

  1. Request that they give you access in the current Business Manager

  2. Request that they transfer the page to your Business Manager

  3. Create a new page

You have the power to resolve this situation by choosing the best option for you.

chevron-rightMeta rejects my payment methodhashtag

Possible causes:

  • The card is not enabled for international purchases

  • Insufficient funds

  • The bank blocked the transaction due to suspected fraud

Solution: Contact your bank and authorize transactions to "Meta Platforms" or "Facebook".
